Sailor Babo’s Winter Break

Sailor BabO Canada got tired of the cold and snow and went south to Florida for a winter break!  Guess what he did there?

Here’s a hint.

He caught some spring training baseball at the Toronto Blue Jays ballpark in Dunedin!

Play ball!

It was roasty-toasty in the stands, but he was fully prepared.

SPF 30 times 9 innings — I must be good for 270 degrees F!

He also enjoyed some ball park junk food.

No foul balls in my ice cream, please!

But it wasn’t all baseball on his trip.  He also went to a state park to see wading birds, and spotted a roseate spoonbill.

Sailor Babo had a wonderful, warm and relaxed time.  But sadly, all vacations must come to an end…Or do they?

He followed me home — can I keep him?

  1. Cool post! You caught me at Blue Jays. I’m from Scotland so obviously not a Blue Jays fan.. not a baseball fan either so to speak. But this brought back memories of visiting Canada approx 10 years ago with my family. Dad and I went on a Blue Jays stadium tour whilst my sister went up the CN tower (guess the fearties..), then the next day went to a match. What a stadium and what an experience

Great pics and I love his little hat! Glad he had some ice cream too. 🙂

His batting helmet was an ice cream dish at a game last year — it’s perfect for a Babo, in size and that it comes with dessert right in it!

  6. A stowaway! Glad you both had a good time. Wonder what sort of mischief those two will be getting into now…
