Imagine Sailor BabO Canada poking his head out of this

…if he hadn’t been forgotten at home.

This fabric art piece was hanging on the wall of on of the writing retreat centre’s bathrooms.  (Artists use the retreat space, too.)

Now, imagine Sailor Babo’s look of disappointment for accidentally leaving him at home.  Oh, wait–we don’t have to!

(He’d been taken down to pack, then put back up for safety from cats while other things were packed, and then forgotten up there!  Sorry, Sailor Babo!)

SBOCanada. Looking a bit like Grumpy Cat.
Well, our Babos will have to stage a stand-in to protest our thoughtlessness this summer. And we will have to make it up to them! Moar trips!!! MOAR!

So it’s the CATS’ fault? Faults?

That really is lovely. Sailor Babo would’ve looked quite regal in it.

I think you were tricked. That’s not really art…somebody was drying their muumuu.

  5. Jaypo says:

Mishoo always wants to hump Babo.

  6. That art piece looks like a Mexican huipil blouse. It’s cut like a poncho, but the wearer can wrap a sash or scarf around the waist to “close” it.

It’d actually be really easy to make one for Sailor Babo, if he wanted one. In fact, you’ve given me an idea. If only I had the time to execute it….

At least Sailor Babo has some good reading material at home. And perhaps he is writing himself while you are away.

At least he’s safe and sound among the books. Icebat was left on the floor a few weeks ago and nearly ended up under a pile of cat vomit.
