Señor Babo Made a Run for the Border

Sailor Babo went to Mexico for the weekend. He went with AmyH and BSG to Puerto Penasco, known to Arizonans as Rocky Point. It’s about a 4 hour drive from Phoenix so it makes for a cheap and convenient beach weekend.

Sailor Babo had a great time two years ago and had fun tagging along again.

He had a good time learning about and tasting tequila.

Then he checked out the statue of a fisherman riding a giant shrimp.

He then enjoyed some shrimp tacos and needed to wash them down with something. So he went to Manny’s Beach Club where AmyH and BSG spent many hours during their younger days. They didn’t think they ever hit on each other but they were a little surprised at what the place looks like in the daylight.

He wanted to get his passport stamped but no one on the Mexico side ever checked their papers.

hahah! love it. Looks like a nice little getaway. Love the sombrerito too!

  4. “Mescal con Gusano?” I don’t suppose Sailor Babo tried one of those?

Sailor Babo doesn’t know what gusano is so he stuck with a margarita with a pricy premium tequila.

We just looked that up. Eeuw. No. No one drank that.

    Ole, Marinero Babo! Great sombrero.

I had regular old boring tequila this weekend. But with shrimp fajitas.
(now LTSB wants to know why HE didn’t get tequila this weekend)
