Sailor BabO Canada makes some new squirrelly friends

(in addition to his already-squirrelly friends on WP)

*mouse over for captions — I didn’t do them right*

Though they were shy about spending much time with him, there was even an off-camera squabble between two black squirrels over who got to be his SqBF.

But the chipmunk would stop and chat a bit longer when he came by, and didn’t mind posing for pictures.

SBOC approves of the cottage experience.

This is a great post. I really wish I’d thought of it myself.

By the way, I’ve never ever seen a black squirrel before. It looks quite regal.

Black squirrels are the most abundant here and in Toronto– there are a few grey and red squirrels around, too, though. I think the grey are the prettiest.

  2. That’s cute. Reminds me of the Simon’s Cat episode where the hedgehog is talking to Simon’s Cat 🙂

That chipmunk has a lot of peanuts stuffed in those cheeks! Great shots.
We have more black squirrels around here than we did when I was young. I saw ONE until I was like 18 or so. I moved away for a while but when I moved back here I see quite a few. But there are still mostly the grey squirrels here. But it’s integrated better now. 😉

So cute!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black squirrel.

That’s so nice of him to share his peanuts! When I lived in DC there were black squirrels but I never see them here in Baltimore. That chipmunk is almost as cute as Sailor Babo…he almost looks like a plushie himself! Too cute.

Feeding peanuts to chipmunks was always my favorite part of going to cabins as a kid.
