Sailor Babo hikes Chubb Trail!

Sailor Babo was ready to hike Chubb Trail in Southwest St. Louis County. “I’m so ready!!”

The trail was beautiful. Sailor Babo took off as fast as his little legs could carry him.

He was so excited when we reached the two mile marker.

But he was a little disappointed when he realized the Gatorade was gone. “Gone.”

All that disappointment evaporated when he spotted a mossy green golf ball. He climbed after it with all his might.

Soon it was time to head back. When Sailor Babo learned we had to hike all the way back he blocked the trail with his little blue body and said, “There better be some chocolate at the end of this trail!!” To be continued…

This is one of the best Sailor Babo posts yet! The lovely photography, the fall colors, and the great Babo poses.

Sailor Babo running down the trail is possibly the best action photo of the little guy we’ve had.

(I wonder why the golf ball was there?)

It’s a work of art, LBeeeze!

It so sweet of you to say all that. Thanks so much. 😛 I don’t know about the golf ball. It looked like it was stuck in there. Sailor Babo couldn’t get it out.

It was just beautiful…my fave trail of our area. I read on a biking blog that it’s the most difficult biking trail of the St. Louis region. There were lots of bikers that day. We saw one run his bike right into the spot where Sailor Babo blocked the trail.

Heehee….you’re right!!! It’s the Redbacked Shutter Bug!! 😛

  9. EEEE! Sailor Babo Hiking!!!!! SO adorable!!!

  10. Whew! My legs hurt just looking at the photos. Both you and Sailor Babo must be seasoned hikers to tackle that trail!

I hope Sailor Babo got something to drink afterwards. Running out of Gatorade on the trail is no fun.

Sailor Babo has been getting lots of exercise these days. He must be brimming with vim and vigor.
